the dreams, the magical world of elves and fairies, seems to have inspired the most important designers in designing their collections for spring-summer 2008.
without too much fear of being branded as sentimentalists, the designers have pulled out all the sweetness that was in them, proposing for this new season hot anglaise lace, embroidery and ruffles.
Result? A beauty of yesteryear, graceful women whispering their femininity by wearing clothing from the romantic flavor. Moderne do that with white light the next summer evenings.
Designers draw this woman in the "new romantic" drew heavily from two specific periods: the eighteenth and early seventies. Looking ahead to this new trend without any frills, skirts, flounces and ribbons we come immediately to mind two icons that represent well this new season full of romance: Cate Blanchett and Marisa Berenson.
The first, Cate Blanchett is known to all, in thinking about this new romance, we can only remember the famous film "The Lord of the Rings" where the beautiful and ethereal Cate, played the role of Galadriel, the Elf Queen. How can we forget all dressed in white sheer dress with long blond hair and slipping on his shoulders? We're dreaming too much? Maybe ... but then what is fashion if not a dream?
On the subject of dreams of flesh and bones, comes to mind also the other style icon that represents well this new romantic phase, we talk about the top model Marisa Berenson. The Vogue model who has devoted the greatest number of covers. Coveted by the most important photographers because of its sophisticated beauty and evanescent.
Here and there, looking at the collections of the most famous designers, we can almost see her most famous role in which he played the movies: Lady Lyndon. The collections of the most famous fashion designers: Alexander McQueen, 6267, Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana, Love Sex Money, Roberto Cavalli, Alberta Ferretti, John Galliano, Sonia Rykiel, Valentino, Massimo Rebecchi, Ermanno Scervino, and Iceberg, just to name a few, are all in the name of a new romance.
seems that all the designers, when designing these collections, have been pervaded by a moment of poetry. The color palette used
moves around the white but there are hints in pastel colors.
