The first signs of this law are already beginning to see. At the dawn of August 8 - the date of entry into force of Law 94/2009 - the Border Police of Ventimiglia worked the first two catches as a result of the control of two Indian nationals at the train station. The two, of about 40 years, were in possession of passports in order and without a residence permit.
After photodactyloscopic major procedures performed in the offices of the Border Police, were made available to the public prosecutor of Sanremo on the basis of art. 6 c. 3 of Legislative Decree No 286 of 1998, as amended by the new Law 94/2009, which has tightened up stop up to one year (previously 6 months) and a fine of € 2,000 (previously 400) for an alien who is in possession of valid documents for the presence in the State.

The two have been accused by the Justice of Peace, for the crime of illegal immigration, "illegal entry and residence in the territory of the state," standardized by the law of 15 July 2009, which provides for a fine of 5,000 to 10,000 euro.I two citizens Indians, who remain detained at the offices of the Border Police, will be expelled from Italy to the accompaniment of such agents to Malpensa airport for flight to New Delhi.
Two days earlier, however, August 6, an illegal could not be regularized killed herself jumping into the river Brembo Ponte San Pietro in the province of Bergamo. Her name was Fatima Aitcardi, was 27. It was Moroccan.
